Promote Odisha

Odisha is the 29th state of India. The mother-tongue of Odisha is Odia language. Odia is the sixth Indian language to be designated a Classical Language in India on the basis of having a long literary history and not having borrowed extensively from other languages. The history of Odia language is very deep. Odia language was spoken in Odisha over 1,500 years ago, and is the primary language used in early Jain texts.

The modern state of Orissa was established on 1 April 1936, as a province in British India, and consisted predominantly of Odia-speaking regions. April 1 is celebrated as Odisha Day. The region is also known as Utkala and is mentioned in India’s national anthem, “Jana Gana Mana”.

The temple of Lord Jagannatha is at Puri, Odisha. This place is well known as Srikshetra and one among the four Dhams by Aadi Sankaracharjya. According to the history there were many temples in Odisha, but due to the of the kings of other religions and due to the architectural problem those temples were lost. But there are so many temples which links the epics.

And the culture of Odisha is also different among others. The classical dance form Odissi has a long, unbroken tradition of 2,000 years, and finds mention in the Natyashastra of Bharatamuni, possibly written c. 200 BC. However, the dance form nearly became extinct during the British period, only to be revived after India’s independence by a few gurus.

Odisha is also well known for its Buddhist and Jain pilgrimage destinations. Dhauligir, Udayagiri, Lalitagiri, Khandagiri are the arts shows Buddhism in Odisha.
And there are many waterfalls, hills, caves which attracts not only the Indian people but also the people from the outside. We’ve everything, but more and more people have no idea about this. Being an Odia, It’s our duty to promote our culture, tradition, heritage, tourism all over the world. Now-a-days, social medias are the most effective field to promote these.

Now more and more people in Odisha are active in social medias. There are the trending system given by the social medias through which a particular topic may show in the trending list when more and more people start discuss on that particular topic. Facebook gives the trending list in the main page where as Twitter gives the top 10 trending list. Now-a-days we mostly using Twitter to make a trend on a special topic. When the trending topic came to the top 10 list, users all over the India can see that topic and by viewing that topic they can get more and more information shared by the users.

Like this many Odia Festivals, Tourist Places of Odisha, Some of our culture are trending in twitter.

I think this is the most effective idea to promote without any cost.
